New Passport Manager

Although some time in development, we are pleased to announce that the new Passport Manager program is now available. The full program will be phased in gradually over the next two months, but Managers and Admin will already be able to benefit from many new features.

Manager2 StatsMITAC Partnership's Ian Reid believes the changes could herald a radical rethink of the way Passport is used. "There is very little of the function of an Adviser login that now can't be achieved using the Manager program. This gives us an opportunity to consider abandoning the Adviser login altogether and at a stroke simplifying the main Passport Online program."

Ian is cautious. "I think we have to move fairly carefully. We have a growing user base and have to respect what they have become familiar with and what they would find useful. That's why we need people to feed back comments and suggestions."

New features include:
  • managers can create new learners in any Adviser Caseload
  • moves (referrals) now default to a Provider's INCOMING-REFERRALS
  • review summaries (general comments) are available
  • up to four advisers across different organisations can be directly connected to a learner's Passport
  • learner data can now be exported to create a partially completed ILR form
  • more detailed learner records can be kept, showing for example start dates, payments, progression routes, etc
  • with better learner data, we can generate a fuller range of statistics

Ian concludes: "We still have some way to go with this major upgrade, but the Passport team are very excited about this whole development strand. I would encourage you to use the Feedback Form to let us have your comments and views so that Passport Manager continues to serve your needs."
