Notes

Notes allows comments and advice to be added to a Passport by anyone involved: Primary and Secondary Advisers, Advisers and Tutors from the same Provider and of course the Learner him or herself. Notes are listed in the order they were added, most recent on the top including author and date.
These Notes will be very helpful during a Review and provide an excellent tool for allowing all partners in a Passport to keep in contact.

Notes ScreenshotWhy Use Notes?
  • Case Study 1 : A language / numeracy tutor works with a number of E2E learners within an organisation. She needs to write brief but regular progress reports on each. She can now log in using her Adviser login and password and use the Notes tool to add a new report about any learner in her organisation, or any learner in her Primary or Secondary caseloads, at any time. Notes are dated and attributed to her and cannot be changed once saved. She attends Reviews when she can, but the Notes are available to reviewers even in her absence.

  • Case Study 2 : An E2E Manager needs to record details of an ESF funded intervention, for example the provision of a mentor. He is able to record why this intervention is appropriate, the terms of the provision and what it aims to achieve over the time it is available.

  • Case Study 3 : A Connexions Personal Adviser has referred a learner to an E2E Provider but keeps up to date with their development as a nominated Secondary Adviser. She can see Review dates of all learners in her caseload, and can use the Notes tool to add a comment or give advice. She is not able to attend as many Reviews as she would like, but is still connected with the process via the Notes tool.

When Is It Useful?
Notes is useful whenever you, the learner, a colleagues wants to add a brief note to a Passport. The thread of notes will be able to support the Review process and can offer a way for professionals to communicate with the learner.
