IMPORTANT Transition Strategy 30-07-2010
Responding to issues raised earlier in the week by providers has necessitated the following changes to our transition strategy.
The new Passport will be available from Monday 2nd August 2010 from www.flpassport.com (to be confirmed). This is to support providers starting learners onto FLprogrammes.
Advisers will be able to use existing E2EPassport logins to set up new learners ... the equivalent of the old Adviser-Only login.
We will NOT be transferring E2E learners into the new system unless requested. Instead, we believe it makes more sense to keep E2EPassport open just a little longer but please note ...
Advisers / Admins are not now able to add new learners to E2EPassport. E2EPassport does, however, remain FULLY OPERATIONAL for existing learners.
Rather than close down completely, we intend to make E2EPassports READ ONLY from the end of August 2010. This will allow learners and advisers to continue being able to access and print information. We believe there will be little use for the old E2EPassport beyond October 2010.
Although the trial period for the new FLPassport will still extend to the end of September, subscriptions will run from 1st September. Providers continuing to use FLPassport will be invoiced at the end of September using the pricing structure already advertised.
Update The new FLPassport is available from ...
Son of Passport 21-05-2010
A new version of E2E Passport initially branded Foundation Learning Passport will be available at the end of August 2010.
All learners currently on the E2E programme will be moved across to the new system at this point. Providers will have one month to review the new product’s fitness for purpose after which a per-provider yearly fee will be due. This fee will be £250 per provider up to a maximum yearly fee of £1000 plus VAT per local area consortium.
As an exit strategy, an export option will be made available so providers can remove learner data as editable text files.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, now would be a good time to get in touch ... help@e2epassport.com
If you cannot access E2E Passport Online you need to call or email us immediately.
E2E to FLT Passport 14-01-2010
Many thanks for the comments I have received from around the region and the country. I know the issue has been raised at a number of levels and I hope we will be able to make progress with a concrete proposal for a new product soon.
However, if I am to talk with any authority on whether this is a good idea, I need as many users as possible to comment. I would be grateful if you could continue to register your support or otherwise via the E2E Passport Feedback Form. We will publish comments in due course.
Update PLEASE COMMENT. I really need your views as soon as possible.
E2E Passport 2010 15-12-2009
A number of E2E Passport users have asked what will happen to the E2E Passport system in March 2010. Hope this helps to clarify.
Currently nobody pays to use E2E Passport and it is not financially supported by LSC or any other body. Because it is robust and because it has a wide user base, (and because we don't get too many calls to the Helpline!) we have continued to allow providers to use it without charge.
MITAC Partnership Ltd would be happy to create new form definitions to cover requirements for the FLT programme and rebrand the site using an FLT house style. Functions would remain the same although we would drop APIR and add new forms as required. E2E Passports would simply become FLT Passports.
In order to do this we need to start charging for use of the system on a per provider or per area basis.
I would be happy to work with a nominated group or single provider to rework the spec if there is sufficient interest.
If there is little interest, I will provide the means for you to download E2E Passports providing a window for you to do this before we close the site down.
Update Please go to Contact -> Feedback to tell us what you think.
E2E Passport Update 07-02-2008
As soon as we get time from our busy workload, we intend to overhaul the E2E Passport website. This will mean a host of new features and a new pricing structure for all users. Scheduled completion by September 2008. Watch this space
