Adviser Password Changes 04-01-2006

Adviser passwords can only be changed from Passport Manager. It's a very simple job and local managers should have the information they need to make the change. However, please feel free to contact the HelpLine (0191 645 4184) if a local manager is not available. We will be happy to make the change for you.

E2E Passport Timeout? 07-12-2005

New Passport users need to be aware that a Passport timeout does not necessarily mean work has been lost. You must follow the instructions below very carefully to stand a chance of getting work back. You may need to click to View All Updates (below right) to see the full text of this Update.

Update
First - and most important - do not close the browser (Internet explorer, Navigator, Firefox, Safari, etc) window. Log back in again with the same learner / adviser combination you were using. Do not login via your Adviser login - both Adviser and Learner logins must be entered. Go immediately to the tool you were using and either Save or Save Draft.
NB This procedure will not work if your computer crashes or there is a connection / internet failure.
Always Save / Save Draft regularly to reduce the risk of losing work.

Passport Server Running after Move 30-11-2005

The Passport server is running from its new location. If you experience any problems, please call the Helpline. As always, please remember to SAVE / SAVE DRAFT regularly.

Server Move Imminent 29-11-2005

Final reminder that the Passport server will be moved tonight. As previously noted, we expect disruption to be mimimal and limited to the overnight period. Although we don't anticipate any problems, we would advise all users to just be that extra bit careful tomorrow (30/11/2005) and SAVE / SAVE DRAFT on a regular basis.
