Costs
After the free three month trial period, you will need to pay to use Passport Online. The yearly charge depends on a number of factors like area covered, number of organisations, etc but pricing is flexible and can be as little as £250 plus VAT. There is a one-off set-up charge for each organisation or consortium of £125 plus VAT.
Pilot Your first three months is free. This is to allow you to try out Passport to see if colleagues and learners like it. There is no obligation to continue using Passport beyond this point, and we will do our best to make sure you have all the data you need when the Pilot comes to an end.
Yearly Based on Area The current standard charge is £500 per year per LSC sub-regional area. For example, MetOne is one of five metropolitan areas in an LSC sub-region. There are currently 8 organisations delivering E2E, with 60 advisers and 200 learners. Organisations vary in size from a large FE College to a small independent provider. Cost per provider is less than £100 plus VAT per annum.
From this starting point we scale up and down to achieve an equitable yearly subscription rate for whole sub-regions and for individual areas and organisations. This is always quoted in advance.
Yearly Based on Organisation A minimum charge for a single organisation is £250 plus VAT per annum.
