Learner's Journey
Learner's Journey is a variant of the Passport program produced to facilitate a pilot programme in HMP Durham examining how best to support offender learning within and beyond the prison system.
Three critical features of Passport enabled the pilot to move quickly into action. These were:
- Passport separates questions and other form data from the actual programming. This allows us to add new tools and edit existing ones without having to reporgram the whole suite.
- Moreover, Passport is built in a modular way allowing the format of the forms and graphics to be changed to appeal to a different client group.
- Finally, the existence of an Offline version of Passport enabled the program to be taken into secure environments where there was no internet connection.
There is a News item, OLASS Learners' Journey, with more information.
