Venue / Equipment
Equipment Specification
Passport training sessions are ideally "live" needing each delegate to use an internet connected computer. Introductions, illustrations and presentations also use the Passport website and so an internet connected computer attached to a projector will also be needed.
Venue
It follows that the best venue for most Passport training is an IT Training Suite with access to as many internet workstations as possible. Sessions of 12-15 work best with one delegate per workstation, but it is possible to double-up to cater for venues where fewer computers are available.
Platforms, Browsers and Software
Passport will work with all common (modern) browsers across Windows and Macintosh operating systems. The Flash plugin is needed to display the APIR wheel.
Technical Barriers and Support
A support contact is essential to overcome the three most common technical difficulties encountered running a Passport session. These are:
- users cannot access a local network - logins that will allow visitor or guest internet access is essential
- Passport will not save because it is blocked by an orgnisation's Firewall program - this is easily overcome by adjusting the Firewall configuration
- APIR maps will not display because the Flash plugin is not available - again this is easily overcome with a simple download / installation
A simple login will test all of these potential barriers. Details on request.
